White Friday is expected on 27 November 2026 (Salla's season calendar lists that date). UAE National Day is expected on 2 and 3 December, though at the time of writing the UAE has not yet announced the official holiday dates. Then comes year-end. That is three sales moments in about five weeks, and most brands will brief ads for each one separately, late, and in a rush.
A better way is to plan the creative once. Here is how to do it with a small team and a small budget.
1. Treat it as one campaign with three chapters
Do not make three unrelated sets of ads. Pick one core message, then change the wrapper.
- White Friday: the offer. Price, discount, end date.
- National Day: the celebration. A greeting, a themed pack, a bundle, a free gift.
- Year-end: the last chance. Gifts, stock clearance, "start the year with it".
The product shots, voiceover style, fonts and colours stay the same. Only the first two seconds and the end card change. This is how you get five or six finished ads out of one shoot or one AI production session.
2. Decide the dates backwards from the sale
Work from 27 November and count back. A realistic plan looks like this:
- Now to 8 November: choose the hero products and the offer. Write the brief.
- 9 to 15 November: first drafts. Send them to one person who can approve, not five.
- 16 to 20 November: revisions and final files in every size.
- 21 to 26 November: upload, review and warm-up ads. Teaser content goes live.
- 27 November: sale ads go live. Nobody edits anything.
If your drafts are late by a week, you still launch on time. If you start in the week of the sale, you launch with whatever is ready.
3. Make the vertical version first
Most of your sale views will happen on a phone, in full-screen Reels and Stories. Design for 9:16 first, then crop to square or 4:5 for the feed. Meta recommends 9:16 for Stories and Reels and advises you to review any automatic crops before publishing, so key content is not cut off.
Meta's Instagram Reels ad specification gives a size of 1440 x 2560 pixels and suggests keeping roughly the top 14%, the bottom 35% and 6% on each side free of text and logos. That space is where the profile name, caption and buttons sit. Check the current numbers on Meta's Ads Guide before you export, because placements change.
4. Show the offer in the first two seconds
Nobody waits for your logo animation. The first frame should show the product and the reason to stop: the price, the discount, or the problem it solves. Put the end date on screen too. "Until Sunday" does more than "limited time".
Write the text as real, large words that a person can read in one glance on a small screen. Short is better: three words beat ten. If you are stuck for opening lines, our free ad hook generator gives you a list to start from.
5. Plan Arabic and English from the start
Your audience in Jordan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia reads both, and many people have a clear preference. Write the Arabic version yourself or with a native speaker. Do not paste a machine translation over the English layout, because Arabic runs right to left and the text often needs a different arrangement on screen.
For National Day in particular, keep the greeting short and respectful, and have someone from the country check it before it goes live. A wrong word on a national occasion costs more than a late post.
6. Make fewer, better variations
You do not need thirty ads. You need a handful that are clearly different from each other. For each hero product, aim for:
- One ad that opens on the product alone.
- One that opens on the offer or price.
- One that shows someone using it or receiving it as a gift.
Test those against each other and keep the winner. This is also where AI production helps: changing a hook, a background or a language is far cheaper than reshooting. If you are weighing a filmed shoot against AI, our article on product video cost in Jordan and the Gulf breaks down the costs.
7. Do not change live ads during the sale
Meta's ad delivery system needs roughly 50 optimisation events in the week after the last significant edit to leave its learning phase, according to Meta's Business Help Center. Changing the creative, the audience or the optimisation event counts as a significant edit. So swapping ads on 27 November can reset the learning right when you want results.
Upload your final ads early, let them run through the warm-up days, and use the sale days to watch, not to tinker. If you have a small budget and few conversions, Meta suggests consolidating ad sets so each one gets enough events.
8. Make sure the landing page matches the ad
Great creative that sends people to a slow or confusing page wastes the click. The ad says "30% off the blue set", so the page should open on the blue set with the 30% visible. We cover this in our White Friday website checklist.
9. Know your margin before you promise a discount
A discount that looks good in an ad can erase your profit. Work out the margin per order, including shipping and ad cost, before you write "50% off". Our free store profit calculator does this in a minute.
